The CML Opus card brings the power of a PowerPC™ core embedded in a sophisticated Virtex®-5 FPGA. Key features include 10/100 Mbit Ethernet, 256 MB DDR2 memory, and an SD card slot with 2 GB SD card pre-loaded with Linux. The Opus card provides a complete system that will boot Linux right out of the box. With the included PmodRS232 module, access to the Linux system console is supported to monitor the Linux boot process and execute Linux commands. The Opus card enables the creation of complex, high-performance embedded systems that run Linux in a surprisingly simple manner.

Note: Requirements for Linux console The Opus needs to be supplied with power from a PCI Express power connector, available on many PC power supplies. In addition, the inlcuded PmodRS232 provides serial access to the console. If neccessary, you can also purchase a USB-Serial adapter cable, linked below.
